Prohibited drugs were seized in Narromine last week and two people charged following a vital tip-off from locals.
Narromine Police and Orana Local Area Command Crime Management Unit executed a search warrant at a Murgah Street residence on Thursday.
This search warrant was a direct result of crucial information provided by community members.
The warrant was executed at 11.40am. As a result, prohibited drugs (amphetamine and cannabis) and cash were seized.
Other items seized by police included prescription medication, laptop computers, video camera, mag wheels and other assorted electrical items. A number of the items seized by police have been identified as stolen property.
A 59-year-old man was charged with: supply prohibited drug; possess prohibited drug; goods in custody; deals with proceeds of crime.
A 39-year-old Narromine woman was charged with: possess prohibited drug and breach bail undertaking.
Both were bail refused to appear in Dubbo Local Court last Friday, where the 59-year-old man was again refused bail.
Investigations are continuing into the origin of other property seized at the premises.
