Garden visits follow meeting for members

20 Nov, 2009 09:37 AM
A very large attendance for our October meeting held at the CWA rooms. After the meeting members were delighted to have an opportunity to enjoy the colourful gardens of Heather Bootle and publicity officer Beverley Shields.

Heather’s cottage-style garden with large trees out the back gave ideal conditions for her lovely clematis.

The lovely roses, undersown with snow-in-summer, were the feature of Bev’s garden. Thanks to you both.

Sorry, but no places will be available for anyone who has not put their name down and paid their money to the treasurer by today for our Christmas party to be held at the Imperial Stay at noon on November 27.

Please bring a gift to the value of $10 and the competition is “A CHRISTMAS CARD”.

Keep a lookout for thrip in roses, treat with Rose Gun, other than that, watering and mulching. All have a safe and merry Christmas and a great 2010.
