Students make cubby house for Rotary raffle

06 Nov, 2009 12:52 PM
The Rotary Club of Narromine provided a challenge to Narromine High School manual arts teachers and students to build a cubby house for a raffle before the end of this year. The students designed and constructed the unit with funds supplied by the club and materials were purchased locally. Under the guidance of teacher Trevor Taylor, the cubby house was finished during term three and Rotarians have decided to raffle the unit in time for Christmas. Tickets will go on sale at the beginning of November until the drawing of the prize just before Christmas. Rotarians will be selling tickets in Dandaloo Street and tickets will be available at $2 each. The dimensions of the cubby house are 1800cm wide, 1700cm long and 1800cm high.

Proceeds from the raffle will be used to assist local students with their education and the local community with several health needs. Please support this raffle and you may make some young person very happy for Christmas. Enquiries to Nesto Falcioni on 6889 1637 or Geoff Smith on 6889 5447.
