Thieves target Trangie Central School

POLICE REPORT: Trangie Central School was the target of a break and enter between 4pm on October 27 and 8am the following day. The offenders have gained access through a window into a classroom and a small amount of money has been stolen. On October 29 TCS was once again the target when offenders forced open a flyscreen of the classroom and gained entry into the room. The offenders stole some confectionary before heading to the school’s office and stealing two Ventolin puffers, two first aid kits and a small amount of money. The canteen was then entered and a box of ice blocks stolen.

A 26-year-old man was involved in a fight outside the Trangie Bowling Club last Friday between 11.50pm and 12am. The fight led to an amount of damage being caused to an external wall of the club. Investigations are continuing into the matter. Narromine police have requested any witnesses to the event to contact them.

Between 12pm on October 27 and 11am the following day offenders have vandalised a Burns Oval amenities block.

Police suspect a five-month-old kelpie has been poisoned sometime between 12pm last Friday and 9am the following morning. The dog’s owner returned to his Temoin Street residence and found the dog foaming and bleeding from the mouth. The man sought advice from a vet before returning to work. When the owner returned he found the dog had died. If anybody has information about the alleged poisoning please contact police on 6889 1444.

About 30 newspapers were stolen from the Trangie Newsagency in the early hours of the morning.

Between 9am and 2.45pm on Wednesday offenders have gained entry to a residence on Temoin Street through an unlocked door and stolen an iPod and a digital camera. The offenders left the premises after turning on an outside gas bottle and two water taps.

Between 2pm on Tuesday and 1.45pm on Wednesday a Trangie business located on Dandaloo Street had its window broken after an egg was thrown at it.
