Publican’s Dart competition off to top start
11:27 AM AEDT | The first round of the Publican’s Dart Competition was a success on Monday night.
11:26 AM AEDT | Seven full-bore rifle shooters competed over 1000 yards at the Narromine-Dubbo rifle range on Saturday, on an afternoon interrupted with rain showers, dull light and occasional spells of no wind.
11:25 AM AEDT | On Saturday the Warren Golf Club travelled to Narromine to take on Colts in the major semi-final to decide who would tackle defending premiers Backwater in the following weekend’s grand final.

10 Mar 10 | The Central West under-20s have completed a successful training weekend before their opening clash at the Country Championships.
05 Mar 10 | Saturday’s Minor Semi-Final Warren Golf Club travelled to Narromine on Saturday to take on Wanderers in the minor semi-final. The losing team would see its season come to a close for the 09/10 season.
05 Mar 10 | Autumn has arrived and with it a very cool and windy day for bowls to begin. We are really getting into the bowls season now with the pennants well on their way. The No 4 teams are holding up well with only one loss to date.
Success for Little Athletes in Finley
05 Mar 10 | Narromine Little Athletics Club has just returned from a very successful weekend at the NSW Little Athletics Region 5 Championships held in Finley on February 20 and 21, bringing home three gold, four silver and seven bronze medals.
05 Mar 10 | Fine weather greeted golfers on Saturday with 18 players turning out to play a 4BBB. Winners of the day were M Ward and J Brown, runners-up T Rush and J Brown. Ball winners were G and S Mack, R Hunt and J McKinnon, M McKean and R Stanford.
03 Mar 10 | Twenty-five starters today and once again the ladies outnumbered us 15 to 10.
03 Mar 10 | Social Bowls results: Thursday 20 starters: Winners Russell Schroder, Peter Kelly & Don Sullivan 18 points, the runners up were Bob Weir, Bob Davis & Peter Cross who amalgamated some 16 points. The two pairs matches resulted in wins for Geoff Anderson & Neil Bootle, and also the duo of Bob Ashdown and George Allen.
Finals form carries into new year
03 Mar 10 | Narromine players are bringing their great form from their 2009 Blowes Menswear Cup grand final win into this year’s Central West Blue Bulls campaign.
26 Feb 10 | Shooting over 800 yards at the Narromine-Dubbo rifle range on Saturday saw 10 shooters competing under almost perfect conditions for long-range shooting. A slight breeze from the north was lifting the flags but did not prevent the good scores which started to appear.
Mixed results for pennant teams
26 Feb 10 | A hot day welcomed us to bowls on Tuesday. Only 10 social bowlers rolled up, as there were eight players who travelled to West Dubbo for the first match of the No.4 teams in pennants.
26 Feb 10 | Last weekend the Golf Club was a hive of activity, with working bees being held on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. A big thank you to all the volunteers who gave up some time.
Local competes at top level
26 Feb 10 | Trangie local Sue Clark has recently returned from competing in the Australian Open Bowls Tournament that took place from February 14 to 20 at the Shepparton Park and Mooroopna Bowls Clubs in Melbourne.
24 Feb 10 | Bridge was held at Narromine last Monday with eight tables. The N/S winners of the first session were David and Helene Lander, runners-up went to Nita and Peter Perry.
