Trangie Golf Club recently held its annual presentation night with Bill Wallace burning up the course winning all thee major championships.
Mr Wallace took out the 2009 Club Champion for the 19th time, the A Grade Foursomes and the A Grade Mixed Foursomes. Runner-up in the B Grade Club Championship was Peter Hackney while the B Grade winner was Ray Hohnberg and the C Grade winner was Tim Lancaster.
Bill Wallace and Greg Rankmore won the Foursome Championships while Peter Hackney and Bruce Fidock were the runners-up. B Grade was won by Scott MacDougall and Paul Fitzgerald and the runners-up were Brad Woodbine and Craig Davies.
In the Mixed Foursomes Championships Bill and Marilyn Wallace took the honours followed by Michael Montgomery and Helena McIntosh.
B Grade was won by Ted Brennan and Pam Ferrari followed by Ray Hohnberg and Linda McCutcheon.
Alan Kenney won the Old Cathundral Cup, Hackney took out the Yearly Medal and Bill and Marilyn Wallace were again successful in the Nagger’s Cup.
Hackney proved thrice a champ winning the Eclectic Board, Robert Pither was crowned Stirrer of the Year, while the Clubperson of the Year and the Jack Warner Memorial recipient was Marilyn Wallace.
Ladies Club Champion was won by Pam Ferrari with Linda McCutcheon second. A Grade Foursome Champions was taken out by Lea McKinnon and Marilyn Wallace. The McKinnon Cup Winner was Pam Ferrari. The Club Medal went to Fay Sand, Desley Rankmore won the Jubilee Trophy and the Cameron Trophy. Match Play winner was Marilyn Wallace while runner-up Linda McCutcheon also had the 12 Best Handicaps. Pam Ferrari swept the Eclectic and Birdie Boards and the Best Scratch cards. Fay Sand was the highest point scorer while Marilyn Wallace won the Gobbler Board. Dawne MacDougal won best handicap card while Patsy Whale, Anne Burns and Linda McCutcheon shared the award for biggest reduction in handicaps.
