The club pairs competition is well underway. The winners from the Rhonda Yearby and Lyn Gale versus Pam and Pat Ferrari match will play on Wednesday. Those winners will play for the trophy, against Maureen Coffee and Sue Clark. More news on the victors in the next report.
Six Trangie women travelled to Lightening Ridge for the two day triples carnival. The winner of the entire competition was Cobar who was beaten only once during the six game carnival.
The exciting thing was that it was the Trangie team of Dawn MacDougall, Lyn Ferrari and Rhonda Yearby as their skip, that beat them. Well done girls. I know that there was plenty of stiff competition.
Towns like Goondiwindi, Tamworth, Inverell, Lemon Tree Passage and not to forget Dubbo, Nyngan, Bathurst and of course, Lightening Ridge all took part in the competition.
The greens were super fast and wide. Both the grass and synthetic greens tested the bowlers’ skills. It was a great weekend and recommended for those looking for a great time.
Don’t forget that next Wednesday is our Annual General Meeting. Come along and make your vote count.
Good luck to the girls heading to Narromine next Tuesday.
