Tomingley Water Supply - Further to a meeting with the NSW Health and the NSW Office of Water, council at its ordinary meeting held November 20, 2012 resolved that the Tomingley Water Supply will remain as a non-potable supply. Council will continue to monitor the quality of the Tomingley water supply. Please contact Council's Planning and Environmental Services Department if you require any further assistance with this matter.

Australia Day 2013 - Narromine Australia Day celebrations will be held at Dundas Park, Mitchell Highway Narromine on Saturday January 26 2013, commencing at 8am with a free community breakfast. The official ceremony will commence at 9am. Bring the family along for a fun-filled morning. Lots of entertainment and activities for the children. There will be free entry to the Narromine pool from 11am until 4pm.
Pink Pigeon Race - Once again the Pink Pigeon Race will be held at Dundas Oval Narromine, on Saturday January 5 2013 to help raise awareness and funds for the McGrath Foundation. This day will coincide with Jane McGrath Day at the New Year Sydney Cricket Test. A fun day is assured as 12 "Pink" pigeons race home to Trangie after being released at about 9am. A three-person ambrose golf tournament and calcutta will be held at the Narromine Golf Club on Friday January 42013. One Way Traffic Flow in Derribong Street, Narromine - Pursuant to Section 122 of the Roads Act 1993, council hereby gives notice of an order to temporarily regulate traffic on Derribong Street, Narromine. It is intended to create a one-way traffic flow on Derribong Street Narromine, in the area between Algalah Street (Seventh Day Adventist Church) and Manildra Street (saleyards). Vehicles on this part of Derribong Street will only be allowed to travel in the easterly direction towards the Manildra Street railway level crossing. This change is necessary to prevent excessive damage to the road pavement at the junction of Algalah and Derribong streets. Residents are encouraged to make themselves familiar with the changed traffic conditions in Derribong Street where the one way condition applies. The changes may result in an inconvenience to some road users and your co-operation is appreciated.
Kerbside Waste/Recycling Collection - Residents are advised that the Narromine and Trangie kerbside waste collections will be unaffected over the Christmas/New Year period. Council wishes to remind residents that garbage and recycling bins are to be placed out for collection the night before. Council's garbage contractor advises that the sequence of collection can vary from time to time and bins not left out the previous night, for collection, may be missed.
Narromine Shire Council Waste Depot Christmas Opening Times - Residents are advised that the Narromine and Trangie waste depots will be closed on Tuesday December 25 2012 (Christmas Day). Other opening times over the Christmas/New Year period remain unchanged.
