The library provides plain language legal information to the public through the Find Legal Answers resources held at each branch.
Legal information can also be accessed through the State Library of NSW website at www.legalanswers.sl.nsw.gov.au Whether you require legal information about a neighbour’s barking dog, a family law issue or want information on wills, the library can locate the information you require.
Trangie library will be holding a special morning tea for Law Week with guest speaker Senior Constable Ian Burns of the Crime Prevention Department Dubbo Police who will present a talk on ‘Home and Personal Safety’.
The morning commences at 10.30am on Thursday May 16 so secure your place as this is a great opportunity to get the answers to all the questions you may have. Phone Trangie Branch on 6888 7501.
Pre-school Storytime - it’s free and it’s fun. Pre- school storytime sessions start again on Wednesday May 8 at 10.30am and continue each Wednesday of the school term. These sessions cater for all ages from babies to five-year olds.
Introducing your child to the wonderful world of books and their local library is one of the best gifts you can give them.
No need to make a booking just come along on the day and join in the fun with great stories, songs, rhymes and help make some fantastic craft.
Pre-school story-time sessions are held at both Narromine and Trangie branches
Internet Classes - There is still a great demand for our basic internet and email training.
If you would like to learn more about the world wide web and gain the skills to use email then contact the library to sign up for a class.
Each session runs for one hour.
New books - This month the focus is on new children’s books. The latest arrivals include Pokemon Essential Handbook which covers more than 640 of your favourite Pokemon, enough to enable you to master any challenge.
For younger readers we have All the Colours by Richard Scarry a delightful and fun way of presenting the colours to the very young.
Fairy Tale Twists by Katie Dale and Matt Buckingham is a tale with a twist as Prince Charming finds it is not so easy to find the Perfect Princess and the Magic Toyshop by Jessie Little where Willow sets foot into a toyshop filled with Hoozles and the adventures afterwards. Both books would suit junior readers.
