No surprises with the Division 1 winner being Vicki Gainsford 70 nett. The biggest surprise will be for her husband when he finds out who his partner with a cart is going to be playing in the mixed foursomes.
Division 2 and Pat Mitchell’s Trophy winner was Dale Harding 69 nett. An excellent round for Dale.
Optional ball winners: 1 Carol Paddison 71 nett; 2 Loyalty Roberts 72 nett; 3 Betty Browning 72 nett; 4 Annie Harmer 72 nett who had a great day calling herself a stupid woman, as she hit sideways into the cape weed.
Nearest the pin on the ninth was Kathie Williams; 17th Terese Haley, who also won the drawn card.
The raffle was kindly donated by Pat Mitchell and won by Jean Richardson.
Saturday was an overcast yet warm day which brought 14 players out to contest a stableford mixed draw with Sue Wallace’s Trophy.
Trophy and B grade winner was once again Dale Harding 40 points who was still on her game. Dale won on a count back from Leonie Crawford and Wendy Jeffery (who didn’t snuff her putts).
A grade winner was Heather Bootle 37 points.
Optional ball winners: 1 Leonie Crawford 40 points; 2 Wendy Jeffery 40 points. Nearest the pin on the ninth was Vicki Gainsford (who has the distance to the ninth sewn up) and 17th Heather Bootle. Drawn card winner was Marie Houghton. The raffle was kindly donated by Michelle Ashdown and was won by a very happy Maida O’Mally.

Thought for the week: All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong don’t worry, they can’t last long either.
