The day, organised by the Narromine Local Aboriginal Lands Council (NLALC), was the final event on the NAIDOC Week calendar.
Pauline Middleton from NLALC said the sports day was a success.
“We were more than happy with the amount of kids that came down,” she said.
“It was for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous kids.”
Jackson Clarke from Banardos opened and closed the ceremony for the 30 year celebration at Dundas Oval.
A barbecue and cake was enjoyed by the families that came to celebrate the day.
The NAIDOC celebrations began on September 16 at the Tom Perry Park and were followed by various community activities held through the week.
Some of the activities included a trivia night, healthy cooking group for young mothers, a men’s health activity, a financial health check, a bowling event and a Narromine community event.
NLALC sport and recreation officer Shelly Bayliss held a number for Indigenous games for local children to play to celebrate NAIDOC week at the community event.
“This is going to be a continuous thing working with the community and services for NAIDOC week,” Ms Middleton said.
