COUNCIL NOTES: Narromine Shire Council Facilities Closures - Residents of Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley are advised that council’s facilities in Narromine and Trangie will be closed today (Friday) from noon until 2pm. Council’s facilities will also be closed on Monday for the Queen’s birthday long weekend. Garbage collection services will remain the same.

Development proposal - Readvertised - A Modified Development Application (DA) 48/12 has been submitted to Narromine Shire Council for renovations to a commercial property at Lot 211 DP 710360 and Lot 11 DP 790124, 76 Dandaloo Street, Narromine (“Coles” centre). The applicant is DCI (NSW) Pty Ltd and the consent authority is Narromine Shire Council. The development application proposes to demolish sections of the existing building and provide a public toilet. The DA and supporting information can be inspected at the Narromine Shire Council offices, 124 Dandaloo Street, Narromine during normal office hours, Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm from Wednesday May 16 until Wednesday June 13.
Any person may make a written submission during this time regarding the proposed development. If the submission is by way of objection, the grounds for the objection must be specified in the submission.
Any person who makes a submission by way of objection and who is dissatisfied with the determination if consent is granted, may appeal to the Land and Environment Court.

Local Government Candidate Information Seminars - The Election Funding Authority (EFA) is holding Candidate Information Seminars for those interested in becoming a candidate for the upcoming Local Government elections being held on September 8 2012.
A Candidate Information Seminar will be held at the Dubbo City Council Central Conference Room on Tuesday July 3 from 5pm-8pm.
