A memorial service was held for 18-year-old Ivy Alma May Dwyer from Narromine on Sunday June 10.
Friends and family gathered at the front garden of the Narromine Hospital to pay tribute and farewell Ivy who sadly passed away on June 2.
Ivy was born in Orange on April 11, 1994.
In her early years she moved to Bourke with her parents Fay and Kevin Dwyer and older siblings Maxine and Matthew.
From there she eventually moved to Brewarrina where she started her schooling, continuing through until year 9.
During her teenage years in Brewarrina, Ivy worked in the IGA supermarket. She then left to go to boarding school in Bathurst at MacKillop College where she completed her year 10 school certificate. In the following year, Ivy moved to Narromine to live with her sister Maxine where she completed her year 11 and 12 schooling years at Narromine High School.
During her time in Narromine Ivy worked at Coles Supermarket and after completing year 12 she started work at the Narromine Hospital on the domestic staff. She was well liked and respected by all.
If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane we would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again.
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.
Ivy you made us laugh, you made us cry, but most of all you made us smile.
Gone but not forgotten.
Rest in paradise beautiful angel.
Love,
Aunty Vicki, Julie and Jason, Kim and PJ, Kelvin, Sarah and Brad, Max, Sophie and Phill, DJ and families.
