Powerful gift for community

Essential Energy’s field-based employees in Narromine have been recognised for outstanding performance and have won $1000 to donate to a local community group.

The company’s acting resource supervisor, Greg Butcher, said the local team were stoked at being recognised for their performance and were thrilled to be able to donate $1000 to the Narromine Cancer Support Group.

“The group provides a great service to the Narromine community and we hope the funds help them continue this work,” Mr Butcher said.

The team won the funds to donate to a community group after being part of the best area within Essential Energy.

Essential Energy’s regional general manager, Matt Patterson, congratulated the Narromine team for their efforts and said that the ultimate winners were customers.

“All the depots within the area embarked on a huge effort to improve performance and safety right across the board and this win recognises the hard work and effort every employee has put in,” Mr Patterson said.
