GERRIES: Last Wednesday it was a day out for the Richardson boys who scooped the pool in the Gerries’ nine-hole competition.
Fourteen players took part in the event, the weather was great and the scores pretty good. Winner on the day was Bob Richardson with 26 points - a really great round.
Runner-up was Mal Richardson on 25. Not sure if they are related as I am told there are a lot of Richo’s in this district.
Nearest the pin went to Doug Blazey. Good to see someone else winning this event.
This afternoon we will be at it again. The back nine today with a hit-off at 2.30pm. It will be good to see another good roll-up. Hope the weather holds - see you at the 19th.
