The driver of the car, a 50-year-old woman, died at the scene.
The truck driver, a 55-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to Dubbo Base Hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol tests.
Traffic diversions were in place for the remainder of the evening and well into the night.
