Another busy week at the Bowly with the final of the B Pairs being played and won on Saturday by Clifton Harris and the Demon Barber of Burroway Street, Bill Wilkie who came from behind to win over Bob Davis and David Price.
After trailing early, they came home with a withering run to win 24-16. Well done to the winners.
Pennants on Sunday was again a mixed bag of results with the Grade Six side winning six to nil over Dubbo Macquarie and going through to the zone play-offs.
We wish them the very best of luck.
The top grade put in a sterling performance to go down 2-4 to Parkes with the match being closer than the scoreline suggests.
There is a sheet on the noticeboard for the A singles. This is open to all players, not just the A Graders so if you feel like a run, names on the list please.
On the social side, Thursday saw some 16 players turn up with the day winners being Don Gibson, Ben Weid and David McNair.
The runners-up being Warren Brown, Mal Dawes and D Carnevale.
The other winning team were the pairs combo of Rob Bateman and Clifton Harris.
Sunday's games were down on number again but this should pick up in the coming weeks with the Pennants finished for a while.
The winners on Sunday were Gordon McIntyre, Bob Ashdown and that Barber again, Bill Wilkie.
The other winning team was Min Porter, Cliff Harris and Betty Purvis.
Don't forget this Thursday at the club the Easter seafood raffle tickets on sale from 6.30pm. Remember you've got to be in it to win it.
That's all for this week.
Hope to see you at the Bowly some time soon.
