The week kicked off with a Bluelight Disco at the Narromine Golf Club on Friday April 4. Event organiser James Westwood said about 40 people attended.
"Young people had a blast with a DJ and heaps of prizes," he said.
The wet weather the following day didn't dampen anyone's spirits as the young people of Narromine gathered once again to celebrate.
"About 20 to 30 people got together to have some fun and join in the games at the Narromine Generocity Church grounds. There were plenty of prizes to be won, a DJ, a free sausage sizzle and drinks," Mr Westwood said.
Minister for Citizenship and Communities said there was a large variety of events during the week.
"The range and scale of events organised to celebrate Youth Week shows young people's creativity, imagination, and commitment to expressing their ideas and making a contribution to their communities," he said.
"My message to young people is that you don't have to be 52 years old and US president to make a difference in the world, you can effect powerful change right now."
Mr Dominello said activities spanned across indoors and outdoors, sports, art, culture, education and welfare.
"Highlighting the breadth of interests, skills and engagment of young people aged 12 to 25," he said.
Mr Westwood was thrilled with the activities.
"Altogether a great weekend for the young people of our shire," he said.
