The team is proud to announce they won Champion Trade Steer and that it placed fifth in the School Leading Competition.
Cattle team teacher Alice Dorman was thrilled with the results.
"We're very excited, we weren't expecting champion," she said.
This result comes from months of hard work and planning from the TCS team.
"A good result makes it all worth it," Miss Dorman said.
"The students learned a lot too which is the main thing."
The students fed and prepared a number of cattle for the presentation at the Show. They took five cattle in total.
Taking home the Champion Trade Steer the cattle team impressed the judges with steer Archie's carcase, hoof and virtual taste testing competition.
The cattle team was also thrilled with the result in the School Leading Competition.
Year 9 student Taylah Brown was selected to represent the school in the competition which judges the student rather than the cattle.
Everyone was pleased with the result.
Miss Dorman said the Show was great.
The 15 students, two teachers and parents attended for a week to compete in the prestigious competition.
"Everything went pretty well, we had two 4am starts and the rest were 5am starts which was tough, but the lovely parents gave us a hand," she said.
A highlight of the week was the free day students had to explore the show.
"Everyone was very excited to look around the show," Miss Dorman said.
"The students went on the rides, they even conned us teachers to go on a few, and we went to a night show and the rodeo."
Another highlight was visiting John Bull, the Archibull Competition entry a team of TCS students put together last year.
John Bull was reserve champion in that competition.
"We saw our John Bull in the tech pavilion, two other students and a parent joined us for that on Thursday," Miss Dorman said.
"It was good to see him on display."
Miss Dorman, on behalf of the cattle team, would like to express special thanks to the parents who helped out, and Steven Chase who transported the five steers and helped out during the week.
