Tuesday the annual "Sungai" day took place with a record number of teams competing on what was a beautiful autumn day.
Some 96 players on the greens which was quite a sight to behold.
The winners for the day were Judy O'Connor and her team from Dubbo City and the runners-up were Alma Jeffery and her team from Dubbo Railway.
Congratulations to you all.
The Spider at the commencement of play was won by Rae Reynolds and the proceeds, some $110 from the event, go to the Narromine Hospital.
Reserts were won by J Madgwick, Pat Young, P Clark, S Ryan, B Bradford and A McIntyre.
At the conclusion of play a truly delicious afternoon tea was enjoyed by all.
President Rosalie welcomed patron Edna Cross who joined us for afternoon tea. Edna was a former champion of the club and it was lovely to see her.
Rosalie then thanked all those who helped especially Jan Buswell for the beautiful flower arrangements in the club house and her committee who worked tirelessly throughout the day.
Also a big thank you to the three men who worked hard in the kitchen, washing up etc.
It was greatly appreciated.
Our birthday girl for this week is Ruth Bullock. Happy birthday, Ruth.
