Meg Haigh proudly declared the Jacaranda Room open, cutting the ribbon allowing all present to inspect the state-of-the-art facility.
This room has been on the drawing board for many years and will be a wonderful asset to the MPS.
It will ensure the small Trangie community will have access to quality care in comfortable surrounds in its time of need.
Community nurse Bernie Astill and her band of helpers from the Trangie Cancer Support Group, and the Trangie Hospital Auxiliary have been working tirelessly to make this a reality.
Bernie had huge input to this project and has been a staunch advocate for her clients' needs.
Congratulations must go to the whole Trangie community which has supported the fundraising efforts, and also the Health Department which came on board with very generous funding.
