Council wishes to advise residents that the Administration Office and Customer Service and Payments Centre of Council will close on April 18 2014 (Good Friday) and April 21 2014 (Easter Monday). Both of these offices will re-open on Tuesday April 22 2014 at 8.30am. For any emergencies please phone 6889 9999.
Council's offices will also be closed on Friday April 25 2014 for Anzac Day.
Narromine Shire Waste Depot Easter opening times:
Residents are advised that the Narromine and Trangie Waste Depots will be closed on Friday April 18 2014 (Good Friday). Other opening times during the Easter period remain unchanged.
Road Closures for Anzac Day April 25 2014:
Narromine Shire Council would like to advise residents of Narromine of the following road closures for the Anzac March and Service on Friday April 25 2014 between 10am and 12pm.
Dandaloo Street: Derribong Street to Meringo Street (includes railway level crossing)
Burraway Street (Mitchell Highway) - Merilba Street to Dandaloo Street. Local detours will be signposted.
Narromine Vacation Care: Narromine Vacation Care will be running from April 14 to 24 2014. Hours are from 8am to 5.30pm every day except public holidays.
Fantastic activities include, a cruise down the Macquarie River, scented candle making, cake decorating, Easter craft, art, cooking, visits to the skate park and science fun at the library.
The cost is subsidised by the government so it is very reasonable.

Narromine Library:
Artworks from Youth Week can still be displayed at the Library and entered into a competition.

Public Notice - Draft 94A Development Contributions Plan:
At the meeting held February 12 2014, Council resolved to adopt the draft section 94A Development Contributions Plan to come into effect from Wednesday April 9 2014.
Section 94A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 allows Council to impose conditions on a development consent or complying development certificate for the payment of a contribution towards the 'provision, extension, augmentation or improvement o f... public amenities or services', providing these contributions are identified in an applicable s94A Development Contributions Plan.
Development applications received on and from this date may be subject to the S94 Development Contribution Plan.
Stables Lease at Narromine Showground:
The Jack Walsh Stables and Cattle Pavilion at the Narromine Showground are available for lease.
If you are interested, please write to Council at PO Box 115, Narromine, NSW 2821 and address your letter to the general manager.
