The Trangie Magpies wish to thank all those who attended and supported our Pink Day at the oval.
There are many to mention so if I miss someone I do apologise. To those who won prizes and donated them back we thank you, we also thank everyone who helped on the day.
We thank Thompson Transport and Paul Milgate for the huge display trailer. Also the Trangie Soccer Club for their donation of usual canteen earnings and a big thank you to the mayor of Narromine Cr McAnally and Greg Lamont for being in attendance.
The mini league players were excited to meet with Justin Carney who gave them a few pointers on the game, a big thank you also goes out to Neil Milgate from the Dubbo JRLC and the Narromine News for their sponsorship in advertising. Unfortunately our senior team was beaten by a better side but they all played in good heart on the day and we thank Gulgong for their support on the day also.
The pink jumpers were sold even before they got off the players’ backs. They were bought by players themselves mostly except one that was auctioned at the club later for $600.
The goal kicking prize of $200 was won and donated back. The trailer of firewood was won by Kelly Sladek and Shorty’s meat tray by Bill McAnally.
A great day was had by all culminating in a donation of just over $2000 to the McGrath Foundation for cancer nurses.
My thanks to all, once again Trangie has proved what a great little town it is.
