Plans for Sunday’s big race day and Merino ram field day are well in hand and a big crowd is expected. Thirteen studs from the Mid State Merino Breeders Association will exhibit 130 rams on the grounds of the Narromine racecourse as a prelude to the Sky Racing Narromine Gold Cup race meeting. These rams will be displayed from 11am and the race meeting gets under way at 12.30pm with the first of eight races. Feature races will be the Sky Racing Narromine Gold Cup and the Aquawest Narromine Newmarket.
Ninety-eight horses and 16 emergencies have accepted for the meeting with top fields expected in all races.
The usual first-class facilities are available on-course.
