Craft group member Robin Abbott said the group was very pleased to hold this event.
"It was a new venture for our group, everyone was pleased with what we presented. It also lets people know what we do at the railway," she said.
"As our group is self-sufficient, we do craft items, also embroidering and sewing and we have to pay all our own insurance, power, water, rent plus whatever other costs we have."
The special reconciliation cake was cut by Aunty Colleen Smith and Beryl McDonnell in front of representatives from the shire, land council, schools, ACG group, Centre-Care and local residents.
Ms Abbott said in the year since they started the Railway Craft Group had donated a significant amount to local charities.
"We have donated around $10,000 to local charities," she said.
"We also love having Day Care for the day a couple of times a year supplying morning tea and lunch."
The volunteer-based group has invited everyone to see what they do on a weekly basis.
"If you're interested in seeing what our group does everyone is welcome to come along to the Railway Tuesdays and Fridays, we are there around 10am until 3pm," Ms Abbott said.
"You don't have to do craft, just come along and have a cuppa and a yarn."
