Students from schools in Narromine and Trangie became ‘councillors for a day’ when they took part in mock council meetings to celebrate Local Government Week, which ran from August 13 to 19.
It was one of many activities to mark the week, including colouring-in and essay competitions, a heavy machinery display in the grounds of Narromine High School and a mock council meeting conducted by senior citizens.
