The Tomingley gold mine achieved design capacity in May, with gold production for the quarter of 16,348 ounces and sales of 15,576 ounces at an average of $1418 per ounce, generating revenue of $22.1 million.
The total cash operating costs (AISC) were $1283 per ounce with these costs expected to reduce this financial year as the processing plant now operates at design capacity and associated operational start-up costs will not be recurring.
The site focus to stabilise and optimise the operation continues and includes the areas of ore blending, stabilisation of processing recoveries, mining fleet productivity and the site's supply chain and logistics.
Separately Alkane continues exploration including at the Geurie limestone resource near the DZP which will supply the neutralising agent for the DZP process.
