The NSW Government allocated more than $380,000 to upgrade showgrounds and control pest and weed infestations across the Barwon electorate.
Member for Barwon, Kevin Humphries, made the announcement on Wednesday.
"Public reserves are wonderful assets that are highly valued by local communities and are vital to the success of local sports, social clubs, business and tourism," Mr Humphries said.
"The PRMF provides vital funding for improvements, maintenance and protection of Crown Land reserves in NSW, ranging from bushfire control to weed and pest management on public reserves.
"This funding will allow new work to be done to minimise the risk of spreading high- risk noxious weeds to new areas around the region, which is a win for our local communities and a win for the environment."
Mr Humphries said funding would also go towards showground upgrades at Walgett,Binnaway, Coolah, Trangie and Collarenebri.
"Showgrounds are the social and economic focal point of many regional communities, and this funding will allow showground trusts to carry out improvements that will increase their potential to host more events and generate more income into the local economy," Mr Humphries said.
Mr Humphries encouraged all reserve trust boards responsible for Crown land sites in Barwon to apply for PRMF funding when the next round opens in August.
"I would like to see the Barwon electorate receive an even greater share of funding in the next round and would particularly encourage those who may have missed out this time around to reapply when the next round opens," Mr Humphries said.
