Between about 4.30pm Wednesday July 16 and 4.30pm Thursday July 17 unknown offenders have gained access to the business of Narromine Hire located at 110A Dandaloo Street, Narromine by cutting the security chain off the rear gates. The offenders have entered the grounds of the business however no property appears to have been stolen.
About 3.30pm on Sunday July 20 a grey/blue Holden Commodore sedan was seen to be driving erratically east on Old Backwater Road.
When at the intersection of Wright Road the vehicle was seen to lose control and veer into the wire fence of the adjacent paddock.
The witness stopped and assisted the driver whilst another witness contacted police. One registration plate of the vehicle involved was located at the scene and enquiries are continuing.
Between 9.30pm Saturday July 19 and 2pm Sunday July 20 unknown offenders have smashed an internal door to a storeroom of the Narromine Laundrette located in Nymagee Street, Narromine. The offenders have tampered with the soap dispenser and damaged machinery within the laundrette.
Between July 2 and July 19 unknown offenders have cut a hole in the wire fence line of a property on Tantitha Road, Narromine. During this time the sheep contained within the paddock have been able to escape. The owner believes the offenders have accessed his property for hunting purposes.
Between 2.45pm on Tuesday July 15 and 9.45am Friday July 18 unknown offenders have attempted to break into the Narromine Railway Station buildings occupied by the charity group "Mudiygalang" by removing a number of screws of a lock plate and committing further damage to the door lock. No entry was gained.
Between 3pm on Thursday July 17 and 10am on Friday July 18 unknown offenders have cut the barbed wire and a hole in the mesh fence at the Narromine High School. There are no signs of any other damage inside the school grounds.
About 7.30am on Thursday July 17 a green Hyundai Excel was seen to drive east on Terangion Street towards the saleyards. At the time Narromine council street signs had been erected in the middle of the street to prevent the traffic doing through during the operations and activities of the saleyards. The vehicle was seen to collide with the street signs, not stop and continue east on Terangion Street before turning onto A'Beckett Street. The street signs and flashing amber lights were damaged beyond repair at a cost of about $200 to the council.
Between 4.30pm July 14 and 6am July 15 a bus owned and operated by the Busline Group was parked securely at the rear of sheds on Algalah Street, Narromine. During this time unknown offenders have accessed the bus by jemmying open the driver's window. Once inside the offenders have stolen a fire extinguisher from a bracket mounted in the glove box. It will cost the bus company about $250 to replace the extinguisher.
Between 6pm on Friday July 11 and 6am on Saturday July 12 unknown offenders have used unknown force to dent seven Colorbond fence panels at the side and rear of the Narromine Shire Family Health Centre on Dandaloo Street, Narromine. It will cost approximately $560 to repair the damage.
Trespassing for Hunting Purposes - Police continue to receive reports of illegal accesses onto rural properties during the hours of darkness by vehicles for the purpose of hunting feral animals.
This is considered a "trespass" and offenders would be deemed to be commiting the offence of "Enter Inclosed Lands".
Police remind the community of their responsibility to act in accordance with the legislation and respect the rights and privacy of others.
Alcohol-related violence and anti-social behaviour - Police take the opportunity to remind the community to be respectful of nearby residents and others whilst leaving licensed premises.
Recently, there have been a number of incidents where intoxicated persons have become involved in violent confrontations after leaving licensed premises at closing time.
Further, complaints have been received from residents who live in the vicinity of such licensed premises who have been disturbed.
