They had a great couple of days of bowls and renewed many old friendships and tell me that they will be back there again next year.
On Tuesday, on what seemed a pretty bleak morning, the finals of the triples championships were played. Rosalie Woods, Nola Schroder and Pat Young to play Heather McIntyre, Betty Purvis and Helen Woolfe.
What an exciting game it certainly kept the onlookers interested to the very last bowl - when they headed into the last end with the score even.
It seemed that Rosalie and team had the game in the bag when Heather played a pearler of a shot to take the championships by three shots.
Congratulations Heather, Betty and Helen and commiserations to Rosalie and team.
Next week we have Una Dalton Day which is a competition between Dubbo City and ourselves.
The teams are as follows: Ruth Bullock, Betty Purvis and Helen Woolfe, Heather McIntyre, Dawn Barry and Janet Coote, Pam Roberts, Mavis Leak and Carol Carnevale, Rosalie Woods,Barabara Lincoln and Kerrie Woods. Reserves are Nola Schroder and Bev Shields.
Please bring your own lunch and a plate of goodies for afternoon tea.
