Editor,
As a member of the Narromine Turf Club Committee I was appalled and disgusted at the acts of mindless vandalism on our dining room at the Narromine Racecourse on Friday night/Saturday morning.
It was bad enough that it occurred a day before our big Gold Cup meet but to happen only days after our dearly-loved president Doug Eagan passed, it was heart-breaking.
We want to know what you think. Let us know by answering the poll below or email grace.ryan@fairfaxmedia.com.au
I, like the rest of the committee and for that matter the rest of the community, am sick and tired of the constant acts of vandalism and crime that are occurring in Narromine and the ridiculously lenient sentences that are handed out to those who are caught.
As a community we need to band together to protect one another and one another's property and make it clear to the law makers and those in the judicial system that we will not stand for this any longer. This criminal element in our town must be exposed and must pay for their actions.
