Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities for Mayor and Councillors Policy - 2014/15 - At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on August 13, council resolved to place the Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities for Mayor and Councillors Policy on public exhibition in accordance with S.252 of the Local Government Act. Council is required to notify the public of any amendments to the policy and provide the opportunity for submissions regarding this document. This document may be viewed at the council chambers, 124 Dandaloo Street, Narromine; the Customer Service & Payments Centre, 120 Dandaloo Street, Narromine and on Council's website: www.narromine.nsw.gov.au from Wednesday August 20 2014. The document is also available at the Narromine and Trangie libraries and the BP Service Station at Tomingley.
Anyone wishing to make a comment on the above document can do so in writing addressed to the General Manager, Narromine Shire Council, P.O. Box 115, Narromine NSW 2821. Comments or submissions will be received up to 5pm Wednesday September 17, 2014.
Applications for Financial Assistance/Donations 2014/2015 Now Open - Narromine Shire Council is committed to creating a vibrant and diverse community, based on the development of healthy communities and a sustainable environment. Donations and sponsorships are one of the methods that can be utilised by council to recognise and encourage individuals and "not-for-profit" or community organisations also committed to achieving these objectives. Council will consider requests for donations, sponsorship and the waiver of council fees and charges.
Applications must be on council's application form which can be found on council's website. Forms can also be obtained from council's customer service building, 120 Dandaloo Street, Narromine or by phoning 02 6889 9999. For eligibility criteria and to see how the application process works you will also need to download the "Donations, Sponsorships and Waiver of Fees and Charges Policy".
The closing date for all requests is September 19 2014 and these will be considered and assessed at council's meeting on October 8 2014. Applications can be hand delivered to the above address, emailed to mail@narromine.nsw.gov.au or posted to the General Manager, Narromine Shire Council, PO Box 115, Narromine NSW 2821. Pesticide Use Notification - In accordance with clause 1 1L (2) (g) of the Pesticide Regulation Act. Narromine Shire Council wishes to inform the community of pesticide use by staff on Council property.
(Please note the time periods indicate the planned duration, but activities may occasionally occur outside each period).
