The Narromine Show Committee is encouraging everyone to get involved with this year's show.
There are plenty of categories and activities for everyone.
"We encourage everyone to enter something, make sure you check the schedule for the closing dates. Enter one thing in the pavilion," show secretary Jenny Ballhausen said.
There are extra categories in the arts and crafts and cooking categories.
The show office opened yesterday and there will be activity at the showground for the rest of the week.
Mrs Ballhausen said the pavilion would be closed on Friday for judging but would be opened some time in the mid-afternoon when it's finished.
She encourages everyone from the shire to come along and see what Narromine has to offer.
"It's a show for the whole shire," she said.
"It's got a wide range of interests, shows what people have been up to for the last 12 months and shows all the talent."
The Narromine Show Committee is excited for what is expected to be a great event.
"Everyone are volunteers, doing this for the love of their community," Mrs Ballhausen said.
Mrs Ballhausen encourages community members to take a look at the website to see what they can enter.
The website can be found here.
The decorative flower section of the Narromine Show would have to be the most expressive section as far as the chief steward Susie Rae is concerned.
Flower arrangements can be really daunting to start with, but once you get into them and learn the basic requirements, really a great way to express yourself.
When you are planning to exhibit for this year's show read the schedule carefully to make sure you have followed all the guidelines that are stipulated and after that it is totally up to you and your creativity.
If you have gone a bit off track with your interpretation the stewards will get you sorted when you bring your arrangements in on the day.
The stewards are there to help with any queries and to encourage you to exhibit.
They are lovely members of the community who have given up their time to help you out and to support the show.
These days almost anything goes when it comes to flower arrangements.
A while back, floral arrangements were very formal and stiff but the trend today is bold, modern and vibrant.
We are all about getting the community involved.
Sometimes the competition is a bit tough but the judges love encouraging the new exhibitors and it is a great way to learn the ropes and to improve your floral arranging skills.
This year Susie has changed some of the categories.
The preschoolers section has had an introduction of playdough which will make it really fun for all at preschool and the judges.
The vegetable sculptures are always a favourite as are the flowers for a cubby house.
There is some great prize money too, so grab a schedule and flick through it to the Floral Section and check out the Decorative Flowers and start practising at home.
You will amaze yourself at how clever you are and if you get stuck for ideas or you don't understand the schedule, give the stewards a ring and they will help you out.
Flower arranging is suitable for all ages.
