Between 12.30pm Monday August 25 and 4.45pm Wednesday August 27 unknown offenders have gained entry to the Catholic Church in Dandaloo Street Narromine by forcing entry through the northern side door.
Once inside the church the unknown offenders have ransacked the office belonging to the priest pulling drawers out and proceeding to pull clothing of religious meaning out of the drawers. It appears they were looking for cash which is not held on the premises. Several items have been preserved for forensic examination and enquiries are continuing.
Between 8pm on Tuesday August 26 and 8.30am on Wednesday August 27 unknown offenders have entered the St Augustines Catholic school hall by forcing open the rear door. No property was stolen.
About 7.30pm on Tuesday August 26 unknown offenders have forced entry to the Macquarie Clothing Store via the rear door.
On prising open the door the alarm has triggered and the offenders have made good their escape. No entry gained.
Between 11am on Sunday August 24 and 9.25am on Monday August 25 unknown offenders have entered the Anglican Church, Dandaloo Street, Narromine via a side door.
The offenders have entered the vestry where they have forced open a safe and stolen a quantity of cash. The location has been forensically examined and enquiries are continuing.
Between 8pm and 9.15pm on Saturday August 23 a portable fridge was stolen from the rear tray of a utility parked outside the Narromine USMC, Dandaloo Street Narromine.
On the afternoon of Saturday August 23 a rugby league Group XI match took place between Narromine Jets and Dubbo Westside at Cale Oval.
Just prior to half-time two Westside players were sent off. As a match official escorted the two players from the field he was assaulted by a male spectator who threw a full can of beer at the match official.
The can hit the victim in the abdominal area causing pain and bruising.
The incident has been formally reported in accordance with Group XI protocols and to police.
About 12.15am on Friday August 22 police stopped a vehicle in Scott Court, Narromine and conducted enquiries with the driver.
Police subsequently conducted a search of the vehicle and its occupants locating a small quantity of cannabis.
A 31-year-old woman was charged with possess prohibited drug and drive whilst suspended.
About 10.15pm on Tuesday August 19 a 20-year-old man, the holder of a provisional P1 licence, was detected driving west on the Mitchell Highway, Dubbo at a speed of 128km/h in a 90km/h zone. His licence was suspended on the spot and a licence suspension advice notice issued.
The man was informed not to drive from the location.
About 11pm that evening police were patrolling the Mitchell Highway east of Narromine and observed the male's vehicle travelling towards Narromine.
The man was arrested to prevent the continuation of an offence and conveyed to Narromine Police Station.
He will appear at Narromine Local Court.
