It was well-attended with representatives from the other local services club, local businesses as well as members of the public. The guest speaker was Petra Mellor from the Centra Care office in Narromine.
Petra spoke of the grants that are available to organisation within the district.
A PowerPoint presentation of some of the projects that Petra has received grant funding for and the results of the participants work was shown.
Outgoing president Nita McIntyre gave a brief overview of the upgrades to the Aviation Museum.
Nita handed over the presidential reins to the incoming president Julie Davis. Mrs Davis made several presentations throughout the night to local businesses which have supported the 25 Club throughout the 42 plus years that the club has been operating.
The major fundraising effort for the 2013/2014 year was the Day-care and Respite Community Bus.
A lot of hard work and long hours went into raising the money for this project by all the members.
It was with very much pleasure that the 25 Club was able to present to the Day Care representative Mr Les Lambert a cheque for the amount of $10,000.
Unusually for Mr Lambert, he was lost for words when the giant cheque was presented to him and said that this money would certainly boost the savings account for the new bus.
The outgoing committee of president Nita McIntyre , treasurer Julie Davis and secretary Judy Jones were thanked for their assistance throughout the year.
The incoming committee consists of president Julie Davis, secretary Sue Dagg, and treasurer Kim Rathbone.
All the members of the 25 Club would like to thank the community and local business for their support through out the year.
