As part of the 2015 Australia Day festivities, Narromine Shire Council wishes to recognise the achievements of members of our community and is calling for nominations for the 2015 Australia Day Awards.
This is your chance to recognise the most deserving members of our community.
Award categories are:
o Citizen of the Year - presented to the most outstanding Citizen
o Young Citizen of the Year - presented to the most outstanding Citizen aged under 25 years
o Community Event of the Year - presented to the person or group who has staged an outstanding community event during 2014
o Sportsperson of the Year - presented for outstanding achievement in sport

o Children's Champion Award - presented for contribution to children
Narromine Shire mayor Bill McAnally has urged residents of the shire to nominate people and organisations who have made a difference in the community, or have achieved in sport.
"There are a lot of quiet achievers in our shire - the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes and it is up to the community to ensure that they are nominated and receive the recognition they deserve," Mr McAnally said.
Award Nomination Forms can be downloaded from Councils website www.narromine.nsw.gov.au or obtained from council's office at 124 Dandaloo Street, Narromine.
Nominations for the 2015 Awards close on Friday December 12, 2014 at 5pm and the recipients will be announced at the Australia Day celebrations across the shire on January 26, 2015.
Further information in relation to the awards can be obtained by contacting council's customer service on 6889 9999.
