The winners last week were Ross King and Bill Burke who defeated Norm Lewis and Terry Willis in the final.
This ended the winning run of the previously undefeated side who had dominated the competition for some weeks. In the golf, some 15 players turned up for the Gerries weekly nine-hole comp which was played over the front nine on the local course.
Competition was very keen with three players tied for first place which resulted in a count back being used to decide the winner.
Bruce Mitchell returned to the winners' list on 23 points, winning the count back from Chris Harding who was placed second with Gordon Whiteman an unlucky third.
Nearest the Pin went to "the Pom' for the second week in a row. Geriatric golfers are reminded we will be playing the competitions on the next two Wednesdays and then on November 1 we change to Saturday mornings for the summer season.
This afternoon play will be on the back nine with a hit-off at 2.30pm.Look forward to seeing you all on the first tee.
