The boys played two warm-up games against regional PNG representative sides Kokopo and Rabaul winning both 20-4 and 22-6 respectively.
Their third game was against the PNG National 16's side as a curtain-raiser to the "Australian Prime Minister's 13" taking on the PNG national senior side.
The under 16's game was played in 38 degree heat and 85 per cent humidity, with the PNG national side holding the NSW team to 4-4 at half-time.
After the break the combination of Thompson at half, Kennedy at five-eight and Wright at hooker led the team around the park and with the NSW forward pack starting to dominate, lead by ex-Narromine junior Jack Bastick, the team ran in four second-half tries and held off a spirited comeback from the PNG side to run out winners 26-12.
During the tour the team visited local hospitals and schools as well as sightseeing.
One school visit included doing a joint coaching clinic with the Australian Prime Minister's team.
The NSW team had several players from country NSW areas including players from Nyngan, Warren, Parkes and Orange as well as representative players from Sydney clubs South Sydney and Cronulla.
Coach Colin Wright from Nyngan stated it was one of the strongest representative squads he had been involved with.
