The last Saturday golf game (October 25) a hot afternoon brought a very poor response of only four players. There were not enough players for Marie Bishop's Trophy, so that was held over for Wednesday October 27.
Out of four players, Jeanette O'Brien's, score stood out on its own with a +2.
Next best scores were -1, then -2. No nearest pins or raffle were used.
Kerry Richardson won the Drawn Card.
Wednesday October 29 saw 13 players (two players did nine holes only) contest a Stableford event with Marie Bishop's Trophy.
Trophy winner and B grade Bev Woods 38 stableford pts. Bev also won nearest pin 17th. Nearest Pin ninth was not won.
A grade ball winner - Dale Harding 36 points. First optional ball winner - Joy Whiteman 36 points, second optional ball winner Wendy Jeffery 34 points.
Gail White (had a very rugged day on the golf course) was compensated by winning the drawn card.
Raffle was kindly donated by Joy Whiteman and won by Marie Bishop.
May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and a bright, prosperous and healthy new year for those numerous people celebrating birthdays in November (Scorpios.)
Special Final Thought:-After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching somewhere you may be dead!
