A very close final in the consistency singles was played between Jan Buswell and Dawn Barry with a nail biting finish and Dawn being the victor.
Congratulations Dawn and commiserations Jan.
It was hard for the social players to concentrate with one eye on the match.
The winners for the day were Janet Coote and Bev Shields.
The raffle was won by Carol Carnevale.
Next week there will be no bowls as it is Melbourne Cup Day - hope you can pick a winner.
November 18 will be the President versus the Secretary event that is played at this time every year.
After lunch the monthly meeting was held and the date for our Christmas party was set for December 9.
It will be a lunch at the bowling club, 12pm for 12.30pm and at a cost of $25 and $5 for the raffle.
Proceeds from the raffle to go to Cancer Council Support Group.
There is a card on the board for both of these events for you to put your names down if you wish to participate.
Then followed much discussion on the choice of a new uniform.
