Christmas is the perfect time for celebrating and relaxing with family and friends, especially at home. How is your garden and entertaining area looking right now? I guess you will want it to look its absolute best when the guests arrive.
Here are some tips for easily sprucing up your outdoor area in preparation for the Christmas period.
Pop down to your favourite garden centre and grab some potted colour that are in full bloom, They will brighten up any space. Think petunias and vinca for sunny hot spots, or impatiens and coleus for the shade.
With the weather warming considerably consider raising the height of your mower blades so you don’t cut the grass too short.
Any shrubs that are hanging over pathways or looking ordinary could use a trim.
Think about replacing any that are not looking their best. If you need an instant Christmas tree consider an advanced potted conifer and you’ll be able to enjoy it year after year.
Buy some poinsettias and use as table decorations for a seasonal splash of colour.

Think about adding some new accessories to your outdoor space. Perhaps some new pots or a water feature. Fairy lights hanging in the tree and draped over potted plants near your entertaining area will create a lovely touch.
