Mel B's spicy revelations: 'I had a four-year relationship with a woman'

The 39-year-old singer and reality television star, has opened up about her love life in a new interview, revealing that she had a long-term relationship with a woman she met at her daughter's school.

"People call me lesbian, bisexual or heterosexual, but I know who's in my bed," Brown told The Guardian, naming the woman as Christa Parker, a mother-of-two she met at her daughter Phoenix's school in Los Angeles. "I have a huge libido and a great sex life."

When pressed by the paper, she continues:

"I did have a four-year relationship with a woman".

"But I've been very happily married for seven years to a penis. An amazing guy."

The 'penis' she refers to is  husband, director, Stephen Belafonte. The two were married in 2007.

"Well, you know what I mean," Brown said, explaining her reference to her husband's member.

"But I've definitely not been shy or been one to hold back. If I wanted to try something, I did. I had a girlfriend. So what?"

Brown, otherwise known as Scary Spice, also denied having an open relationship with Belafonte, a rumour that was sparked after Playboy bunny Luann Lee claimed they had an "intimate moment" in a disabled toilet last year.

"No, me and my husband are very tight and solid," she insisted. "But I will be the first one to compliment a woman, to say to my husband, 'Oh my God, look at her legs', or, 'Doesn't she look stunning?'

"I do think women are gorgeous. Crazy but gorgeous."

Brown has three daughters, Phoenix, 15, from her first marriage , Angel, 7, whose father is Eddie Murphy, and  3-year-old, Madison with Belafonte.

Brown opens up about her previous relationships, but calls Belafonte the "love of her life".

"He's been my rock when nobody else believed in me. The one who's said, 'Go for it, Melanie: go and do Dancing With The Stars, go and do America's Got Talent, go and release a single if you like.' He's the one who has rebirthed my confidence."
