So private was the apparent ceremony that details, including which country it was held in, are scant.

"It is believed they may have married in a remote and natural location, such as Colorado," Page Six says, reaching.

Speculation started that the couple may have married in secret after Johansson, 30, was spotted wearing a slender gold ring underneath her engagement ring in November.

Around the same time, Dauriac, 32, who met Johansson through mutual friends in 2012, was spotted wearing a similar ring.

News of their engagement broke in September 2013 and they welcomed their first child, daughter Rose Dorothy, in September this year.

Johansson, who was married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2010, told Elle UK in January that marriage was low on her list of priorities.

"I never think about marriage... It's really not important to me. It has no relevance to me right now," she said, adding about Dauriac:

"I'm in a nice relationship, I'm working a lot... To me, being in a functioning relationship doesn't mean you have to be married."
