Gin Gin versus Warren was washed out without a ball being bowled.
Albert forfeited to the Colts while Backwater and Buddaah was the only game to bowl a ball.
Buddah batting first managed to reach a defendable total of 10/155 largely thanks to their new skipper this year, Henry Buttsworth, making a marvellous 76.
The young skipper seems to be handing the captaincy rather well after scoring a century earlier this year already.
However Backwater's veteran captain, Greg Kerr, as usual, lead the way with figures of 4/33 off eight overs.
Strath Munro and Mark Brien took three wickets each to be the only other two wicket-takers for Backwater.
In reply, coming off an unbeaten 83, Greg Kerr was dismissed first ball of the innings from an absolute jaffer by Scott Ceeney.
Two more wickets were taken by Buddah to have Backwater at 3/30 before the heavens opened up.
With the game in the balance it would have been an interesting finish to the game if the weather had held off.
At the half-way point the ladder is:
1. Gin Gin (36 points)
2. Warren (36 points)
3. Colts (34 points)
4. Backwater (28 points)
5. Wanderers (27 points)
6. Buddah (24 points)
7. Albert (19 points)
