After receiving a grant from the Vincent Faifax Family Foundation, Timbrebongie house has purchased iPads and covers for residents.
According to Jan Brook, this will make connecting with loved ones much easier.
"Many of the residents have family and friends who live a great distance from Narromine, in iPad will allow them to connect with their families daily through Skype," she said.
"It also allows them to do their banking, send emails and get pleasure out of googling things of interest and playing games."
Marion Barling loves being able to see her son through skype and receive pictures.
"I can see if he's well and see if he's tired," she said.
Mrs Brook said a volunteer helps residents with the iPads.
"We have a lovely volunteer who comes in weekly to specifically get residents set up on computers and then provide one on one to give them experience and confidence to use a computer," she said.
