Playing on the back nine there were 11 ladies and 12 men for a total of 23 players all up.
In the ladies comp, competition was keen and the winner was Leslie Walsh with 19 points.
It appears Leslie has had some time off to look after her precious horses but returned from duty to win the comp on a count back from Elaine Ashdown also on 19 points.
The was no nearest to the pin winner for the ladies so the prize will jackpot to next week.
In the men Tiger Berryman returned a very fine 24 points to win from the consistent Mal Richardson on 23.
Mal also took the nearest to the pin for the men and collected four golf balls for his trouble.
Mal and Tiger, flushed with success then challenged all comers to a game on the Pool table only to be knocked over by Norm Lewis and Terry Willis in a closely fought match.
There was a lot of advice thrown in from the sideline however the winners remained calm under pressure to win.
All geriatric golfers extend sincere sympathy to Charlie Burrows on the loss of his dear wife, Jenny.
Next Saturday play will be on the front nine with the usual hit off at 9am. See you all on the tee.
