This coming Saturday three games in the Club Fours have been set down for play under the Play sub or forfeit laws and those games are as follows: Matches for Saturday January, 31, 1.30pm start Club Fours: Game 01: Bob Davis, Geoff Anderson, Bruce Maher, Peter Cross Versus David Price, Luke Hutchison, Geoff Bohm, Robbie Stanford: Game 02: Jimmy Daley, Bert Hand, Steve Buttsworth, Danny Carnevale Versus Mal Dawes, Bill Wilkie, Arnold Gillespie, Don Sullivan: Game 03: Gordon McIntyre, Phil Harding, James Daley, Des Lincoln Versus Mick Wright, Andrew Macqueen, Bill Shaw, John Edwards. Social bowls numbers last week weren't too bad with 18 gentlemen having a hit out Thursday and some 14 brave souls going around on Sunday morning.
To the results and firstly Thursday saw Don Gibson, Bob Ashdown and Aaron Hutchison atop the podium courtesy of a strong win over Rob, Des, and Kevie. The runners-up cheque went to Bob Weir, Steve Buttsworth and Danny Carnevale, while the jackpot remained intact.
Sunday saw "Rabs" and Bill Wilkie get the lion's share of the loot on offer after they recorded a solid win over Graham King and Bruce Maher.
In second spot were the trio of Gordon McIntyre, Robert Bateman and Aaron Hutchison who scored the same amount of points as the winners but had a slightly inferior margin and thus had to be content with the runners-up cheque. A couple of things coming up Bowls wise, namely a visitation from Moree Traveling Bowlers on Saturday, February 14 and a pennant trial against West Dubbo on Sunday March 8. Further info for both events are on the notice board, and members should take the time to study the Old Notice Board as there are also a number of other important "BITS" of information for Bowlers posted there.
