Narromine Lions Club members collected donations from the public to help those affected by the cyclone.
The cyclone affected the region around Rockhampton in Central Queensland.
A total of $370 was donated over three days.
Lions secretary Neil Clarke said this amount was topped up by local members of the Lions club bringing the total amount to $500.
"This donation has been sent directly to the Rockhampton Fitzroy River Lions Club who are co-ordinating the distribution of assistance," he said. "As always with Lions Clubs, all money goes directly to those in need with no funds used for administration."
Mr Clarke has witnessed the terror a cyclone can unleash.
"Having being directly involved with Cyclone Larry in 2006 as Mayor of Innisfail, I can assure you any assistance is greatly appreciated especially after the media has moved on and it fades from people's minds," he said.
Mr Clarke thanked the Narromine community for its ongoing support.
He wishes to welcome community-minded people to become members of the Lions Club.
