"The grant will boost participation in sporting activities in the area,'' he said.
"Safer and more accessible venues are crucial in assisting locals in staying fit and healthy.
"The upgrade will increase community participation and encourage families to consider trying sports. Sport is a huge part of our way of life and the NSW Government recognises that."
Mr Grant said it was a great pleasure to assist the local clubs and sporting associations by providing the funds to increase the availability, standard and quality of sport facilities in the electorate.
Narromine Mayor Bill McAnally thanked the state government for the continued support of our local communities.
"Our communities are driven by passionate people that want to see our communities prosper and when times are hard it is absolutely wonderful that our local Trangie community has obtained a much-needed grant to build a netball court in our town that will not only lift the spirits and fitness of our community but it also gives the hard-working people involved in this project the satisfaction that all their hard work has paid off," Mr Grant said.
