Narromine Vacation Care - Narromine Vacation Care will commence on Tuesday April 7 running through until Friday April 17 2015. There will be lots of fun activities and excursions for the children to enjoy. They will enjoy visits to the skate park and library as well as an excursion to the Cowal State Forest with local Aboriginal elder Dick Carney for a day of fun, learning some of the different Aboriginal traditions followed by a barbecue and games. There will also be lots of cooking, sports, mini olympics and crafts including making our own belonging tree, a curtain out of coloured lids, tie-dye t-shirts and soap making. These holidays the children from Narromine Vacation Care will also be delivering Meals on Wheels. Trangie and Narromine Libraries - Holiday Activities - Come to the Trangie and Narromine Libraries during the school holidays to participate in lots of activities. Re-design a book cover or make a pipe cleaner Battle Warrior or join a cartoon workshop presented by Sacha Whitehead. These activities and lots more commence April 8 2015 until April 16 2015 and cater for ages 5 - 13 + years. A small fee of $2 applies to school holiday activities and bookings are recommended. Documents on Public Exhibition - Under section 57 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 council advises that it is currently undertaking a planning proposal to include a model provision into the Narromine Local Environmental Plan 2011 which permits low impact boundary adjustments in certain rural and environmental zones. The proposed clause aims to facilitate, through the assessment of a development application, the adjustment of common boundaries between lots in the RU1, RU3, E2 and E3 land use zones. The planning proposal is on public exhibition from March 19 2015 to April 2 2015. During this time the proposal may be inspected at the Narromine Shire Council Office at 124 Dandaloo Street, Narromine during normal office hours or on council's website at www.narromine.nsw.gov.au. Any interested person may make a written submission to Narromine Shire Council with respect to the proposal. If the submission is in the form of an objection, reasons for the objection are to be included in the submission. Council advises that unless requested otherwise, any submissions received will be considered public documents and made available for public viewing if required. Submissions are to be sent to The General Manager, Narromine Shire Council, PO Box 115, Narromine, NSW 2821. Submissions must be received by 5pm, Wednesday April 8 2015.
